Art Director to work on brand and marketing initiatives for our client, including both print and online projects. We're looking for someone with a sophisticated aesthetic sense, strong conceptual abilities, a dedication to design quality, and the foundation and training to create outstanding design communications daily. You'll be joining a group that prides itself on the excellence in everything they do, that collaborates and iterates until it's just right, and has fun together doing it. This position reports to the Creative Director.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Lead assigned projects from conceptualization through design to final signoff and delivery
  • Work collaboratively on each project with others on the team including designers and copywriters
    Manage and mentor designers and junior creative staff
  • Develop excellent work consistent with the established company brand look and feelAct as a steward for the brand, advocating for the brand and our Members on every project you work on
  • Complete work in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality
  • Develop a range of both online and print projects including email campaigns, online advertising campaigns, brand videos, print collateral, and sales pieces
  • Give and receive constructive feedback on each project

This position requires:

  • The ability to turn a strategy into a communication 
  • Fundamental understanding of design and branding best practices
    Excellent typography skills and sophisticated sense of color
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong conceptual abilities
  • Someone self-motivated and driven
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines
  • Strong collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Expert-level skills with the entire Adobe CS3 suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge); Flash skills a plus
  • 3+ years experience as a designer or art director in an agency or in-house creative group
  • Experience with premium and luxury consumer brands; experience with fashion a big plus
  • Desire to learn new things and keep abreast of the world of fashion, retailing, social networking and ecommerce
  • A rock solid portfolio
  • BA Graphic Design with educational training in typography
