Approach
At Laufer and Associates, we take an individualized approach focused on understanding the details that make you uniquely you. We know, based on more than 100 combined years of recruiting experience, that when we match an excellent candidate with one of our many positions at a fundamental level, you will thrive in your new role. Our seasoned recruiting team also creates a warm, creative and professional environment that helps you feel comfortable and confident during the job search process.
First, we identify one of our recruiters as your single point of contact who works hard to set clear expectations and eliminate surprises whenever possible. You will then be invited to complete our confidential registration and profile form, provide reference information and two forms of identification, if you are interested in our temporary hiring program.
When you are invited into our office, your expert recruiter will ask very specific questions to generate thoughtful, detail-rich answers that present a "real-life picture" of what truly and specifically motivates you. Your recruiter may suggest that you take computer and skill assessments, if appropriate for the type of positions you are interested in. We also have the technology to provide assessments remotely and in the comfort of your own home or office.
Your recruiter will work quickly to share your profile with the entire recruiting team and to identify opportunities that are suited for your unique set of skills, experience, interests and personality. Your recruiter may even want to discuss some interesting opportunities that immediately come to mind at your initial meeting.
After discussing and jointly determining with your recruiter that a particular opportunity may be just right for you, your recruiter will promptly share a copy of the job specification and job location, salary and package details, and a link to our client’s web site. At this point, your recruiter can help you better understand this client’s specific selection process. What is their timing and interview approach? Is there preferred supplier relationship here? Or, how many other agencies are also submitting candidates for this job?
When we send your resume to one of our clients, your recruiter will tell you when you can expect to receive feedback and potential next steps. While we can not control our clients, you can expect regular and responsive communication from your Laufer recruiter, who looks forward to hearing from you, too.
If our client declines the opportunity to interview you, your recruiter will work for you to understand the reason. Alternatively, if the client is interested in interviewing you, your recruiter will work with you to confirm the date, time, directions, and most appropriate dress code. At this stage, your Laufer recruiter will also be able to give invaluable advice on the interview format, office culture, interviewing style, and other more intangible requirements.
When your interviews progress to the point of an offer, your recruiter will help you negotiate with your potential employer on compensation requirements. Sharing your concerns and requirements with your recruiter at this point in the process is critical to you being satisfied with the position over the long term. Once you are hired, your Laufer recruiter will contact you to make sure you are delighted with your new position and remains just a phone call away for any additional counsel that you may need as your new role evolves.
