High-Quality Placements, Done Efficiently and Smoothly
When we needed to find an experienced Executive Assistant to help manage a few senior partners in our busy VC firm, I contacted Laufer and Associates right away. Julie listened to exactly what we were looking for and sent us only the best candidates. As the person in charge of both hiring this person and covering for the position until it was filled, I did not have time to screen a lot of candidates. Julie understood what the role called for as well as our work culture and provided us with the perfect match. We ended up hiring the first person she sent to us. We are very happy with the candidate that we hired and with the process, which was so efficient and smooth.
I knew Laufer and Associates on a personal level because they also placed me here three years ago. Julie recognized the potential that I had and found the perfect fit for me in a company where I have gone on to prosper and excel. Her positive attitude, experience, and energy made the search process fun and exciting!
Working with Laufer and Associates as both a hiring manager and a candidate was a pleasure. I will definitely recommend and continue to use Julie and her team in the future!

Spectacular Candidates, While Respecting My Time

Trusting Their Judgment For Several Years
We have worked with Laufer and Associates for several years and have found they take the time to know their clients. The personal attention we feel that we get exceeds our expectations. Candidates that are sent for consideration are quality candidates and a good match for what we are looking for. Laufer does not just flood you with resumes; they are thoughtful about which candidates are sent for consideration. Julie and her team listen to their clients. In fact, there have been times that candidates did not seem, on paper, to meet the qualifications of the position being filled, but we have learned to trust their judgment. More than once, when I would not normally have considered a candidate but was told "trust me on this one," remarkably, the candidate far exceeds what is portrayed on their resume and is usually a great fit.
Another benefit we have found working with Laufer and Associates is the description of a potential candidate being sent for consideration. Almost always there is some background information of the candidate that is extremely helpful in determining whether a good fit.
We have built a wonderful professional relationship with Julie and her staff and work almost exclusively with them in filling our administrative needs. They also help us in providing candidates in other areas of expertise as well.

Taking Pride in Their Work
What I really like about working with Laufer and Associates is that Julie takes a very personal interest in all the candidates that are presented. Julie knows all the candidates and all the clients. I like the fact that she is intimately involved. She knows what’s going on, and she takes an interest. She takes pride in your work.
I love the logistical arrangement that we worked out where I go to your office, see six people and most likely come out with a hire. I really like that approach and working with you in that way. Everybody that I can think of that my clients have hired through you still work there. We’ve never had a situation where we had hired someone through you and it didn’t work out. Everything was a good match all around from the start.
And then, of course, Julie and the team are fun, lively, upbeat and energetic, and a pleasure to be around. All those things combined are what I really like about working with Julie Laufer and Laufer and Associates.”

An Excellent Relationship
I was introduced to Laufer and Associates through a colleague in the biotech/pharma space when we were in a tight spot in sourcing out an Executive Assistant to support one of our key executives. We had pretty much exhausted our own recruiting resources. I am delighted to say that Laufer was able to find us the ideal candidate in short order, and we have since elected to work with this agency exclusively on such openings. They are extremely attentive to the nuances and details that are essential to creating the best fit within our unique culture. There are no surprises, and the excellent relationship I have with my recruiter makes working with Laufer a pleasure.

Motivational and Prepared
My students and I were thrilled with the prepared attention and unique “Laufer” focus that Heather Delaney gave to my Industrial-Organizational Psychology (IO PSY) classes. Although it’s summer, we have trimesters, and are in the middle of the third session. Motivation is the theme that threads the course together, and that is exactly what Heather did—motivate!
Imagine the students (Construction Management, Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Facilities Management) surprise that she brought 2 guest experts with her---both Wentworth Institute of Technology (WIT) alumnae—who left leadership positions to spend time in a college classroom. Interestingly one guest expert, Chris Wade/ Superintendent from Columbia Construction was a former student of mine! Later in the afternoon, she returned with Tony Crugnale from Suffolk Construction. Coincidentally, WIT presented his company’s founder, John Fish, with an honorary doctorate at our May commencement ceremonies.
In each class, Heather prepared separate cases and questions as a starting point for a high level analysis. She discussed managing expectations and communication to maximize job success—and then turned to the visiting industry guests for further expert analysis. She was terrific! In fact, I just bumped into our COOP director, Denon, and informed him about Laufer and Associates associates and Heather’s presentation.
Thank you for sending Heather Delaney our way. What a gift—she will always be considered a wonderful addition to any undergraduate (or graduate course) that I teach.
